The film is PET foil at 23 microns, thicker than the thin party curtains that tear on the first hand that brushes past.

Twenty-Three Micron Film

Thickness is the specification that decides whether a fringe curtain survives one evening or five. This film is 23 microns, about 0.4 millimeters, which is enough to keep the strands from tearing where they are handled and to stop them creasing permanently when the panel is rolled. It also means each panel hangs with enough body to stay in place rather than drifting apart when a door opens.

Two Curtains, Fuller Wall

One curtain covers a door; two hung side by side or overlapped make a fuller wall.
