March decorating tends to stop at the front door, and a flag by the walk is the part visitors see before anything else. This one is a single 12 by 18 inch panel in linen, sewn by hand to within about a centimeter, with a sleeve at the top that slides onto most standard stands. The stand itself is not included.

Linen In March Weather

Linen was chosen because the flag hangs outdoors in a month that is mostly wet. The weave sheds a light rain and dries out on the stand rather than holding water, and it does not go limp the way a thin printed sheet does after one storm. Wind moves it without stretching the panel out of shape. The same cloth handles the low spring sun without the green washing out.

Sleeve Hanger And Tolerance

The panel arrives as one piece with a sewn sleeve across the top, sized to slip over the crossbar of most standard garden stands. Hand sewing means the finished measurement can vary by around a centimeter either way from 12 by 18 inches, which matters only if a stand is unusually tight. No pole comes in the package, so an existing stand from last season is the quickest route to hanging it.

Clovers On Both Faces

Both faces carry the same clovers and the same WELCOME, printed so the greeting reads correctly from either direction. That matters on a corner lot or beside a driveway, where half the people who pass approach from behind the flag. It also means the side facing the house is not blank when the family looks out a front window, and photos taken from either angle show the design.

Indoors Above A Desk

Not every one of these ends up in a yard. The panel is small enough to pin above a desk, hang on an office partition, or stand on a mantel in front of a stack of books, which covers the workplaces that decorate for the holiday without any lawn to use. Beside a table centerpiece it doubles as a backdrop for the photos people take at a party.
