Self-Sealing Valve
There are no knots to tie. A straw, a hand pump or an electric inflator goes into the valve, the balloon fills to roughly ninety percent, and pulling the straw out closes it. Stopping short of full is deliberate: an overfilled foil balloon strains at the seams. Twelve balloons take a few minutes this way, which matters when the decorating happens an hour before the guests arrive.

The panels are printed in the classic black and white pentagon layout on a metallic foil face, so the balls catch light rather than sitting flat against a wall. At eighteen inches each one is close to the size of a real ball, which is why a cluster of three above a dessert table reads correctly in photographs instead of looking like a generic round balloon in team colors.
Clusters And Doorway Arches
Air filled balloons hold their shape for days, which opens up arrangements that helium cannot support. Tape a line of them around a doorway, build an arch along one wall with the curling ribbon, or set three on the floor in the corner where a team photo will be taken. Helium versions float longer and work better tied to chair backs and above a cake.
Deflate And Store Flat
Foil balloons come back. Press the valve open with a straw, push the air out, and each one folds down to something the size of an envelope that stores flat between seasons. A club that decorates for every end of season banquet gets several years out of one pack. The foil is thick enough to resist the small punctures that end a latex balloon's life on the first night.
