Draped Along An Open Trunk
A length near forty feet is far more than a doorway needs, and that is what makes it work on a vehicle. The string can loop from one side mirror over the raised tailgate and back, doubling where the candy table sits so the circles hang close together at the point where children are standing and waiting their turn.
Twelve Printed Circles
Each piece is a disc of about 15 centimeters, printed in the orange, black and purple range that reads as the holiday from a distance. The patterns are mixed rather than repeated, so a length hung with a fold in it still shows variety, and two or three strings crossed over one another do not look like the same image over again.
Doors, Mantels And Hallways
Away from the parking lot the same garland works indoors without any change of fixings. It runs along a mantel, crosses a hallway above head height, or hangs down the face of a door as a column of circles, and taped flat to a wall it stands in as the backdrop for the pictures taken in costume before anyone leaves the house.
Flat In The Box
The material folds rather than creasing permanently, so the string comes out of storage without the pressed lines that ruin paper decorations. It goes back into the same bag at the end of the night and keeps for the following year, which suits households that decorate for the whole month rather than one evening of the holiday.
