Halloween decorating usually starts at the front of the house, and the strip of lawn beside the walk is the part that gets forgotten. This flag slides onto a garden pole already standing there and fills it with a witch silhouette, bats, carved pumpkins and a dark line of trees. Spun polyester takes rain and sun without the colors going flat.

Welcome in Gold Lettering

The artwork pulls in two directions on purpose. A witch stands under a glowing orange moon with bats crossing it, and below that the word Welcome runs in gold script. Visitors get the season without being warned off the door, which suits a house that hands out candy to small children rather than one trying to frighten the neighborhood teenagers.

Read From Both Sides

The same pattern is printed on both faces, so the moon and the lettering sit the right way round whichever direction somebody walks in from. That matters on a corner lot or a path people use in both directions, where a single-sided flag shows its back half the time. Wind turning the panel does not leave a blank gray rectangle facing the street.

Washable Spun Polyester

Spun polyester handles October weather, which in most places means rain on the fabric and sun on the colors for several weeks running. Double-stitched edges keep the hem from fraying where the wind works at it, and the flag goes in the machine when mud splashes up from the bed behind it. Washed and dried flat, it folds into a drawer with the rest of the season.

Sleeve Fits Standard Poles

A sewn sleeve runs down the hanging edge and fits the standard garden poles, brackets and stands most yards already have. The pole itself is not in the pack, so check what is in the shed before the box arrives. Setup is a matter of sliding the flag down the arm, which takes a minute and needs no tools, hooks or clips.
