Photographs at a graduation party need somewhere to stand, and a bare wall is not it. This single foil fringe curtain measures 3.3 feet across and 6.6 feet down, which covers the height of a person with a little to spare above. The green and gold fringe carries a graduation cap design, and self-adhesive tape comes ready along the top.

Graduation Cap Across Fringe

Plain fringe curtains are sold everywhere and read as a birthday as much as anything else. The design worked into this one is a graduation cap, so the backdrop says what the party is without a separate sign hung above it. In green and gold it lines up with schools using those colors and with prom decorating in the same spring.

Reflective Metallic Foil

The material is metallic foil, light in the hand and tougher than tissue. Its reflective surface picks up whatever light is in the room and throws it back, and the strands move with the air so the whole panel shifts rather than hanging dead. In photographs that movement reads as sparkle behind the subject instead of a flat painted wall.

Peel and Stick Up

Self-adhesive tape along the top means no tools: peel the strip and press the curtain onto a wall, a door, a window frame or an existing backdrop stand. It lifts off again once the party is over. For a rented hall, or a room where nothing should be nailed into, that detail usually decides the matter one way or the other.

Doorway Width Panels

One panel is 3.3 feet wide, about the width of a doorway or the back of a dessert table. Hung at an entrance it gives arriving guests something to walk through, and behind a cake table it lifts the whole display off the wall. Several panels side by side cover a longer stretch for a photo booth in a large room.
