Red, Green, Silver Together
The three colors are the ones already on the tree, which is why the backdrop sits with the rest of the decorating instead of competing with it. Metallic film throws back lamplight and the glow from a string of bulbs, so the panels brighten as the room dims in the evening. Guests reading the wall see Christmas color rather than a sheet of generic party foil.
Tape Is Already Attached
Double-sided tape comes applied along the top edge, so hanging is a matter of pressing the header onto a wall, a window frame or the top of a doorway and letting the strands fall. Nothing has to be threaded, stapled or taped by hand on a stepladder. A host decorating alone the night before can put up several panels in the time a kettle takes.
Six Feet of Drop
At 6.56 feet long the strands reach from above head height down to around knee level, which is enough to fill the frame of a photograph taken from a few steps back. Each panel is 3.3 feet wide, so two or three side by side cover a standard wall, and layering them front to back builds a deeper, more dramatic curtain in a doorway.
PET Film, Used Again
The strands are cut from PET film rather than paper, so an elbow or a passing coat does not tear them and the panels come down in one piece at the end of the night. Folded loosely into a box they go back up the following December, or get reused at a new year party indoors or out on a covered patio for a photoshoot.
