Somewhere between dinner and dessert, a family gathering needs something everyone can do at the same table. The set holds 24 player cards, 25 calling cards and 500 markers, which is enough for cousins, grandparents and whoever came with them. Rounds are short, so people can join late or step out to check the oven without breaking the game.

Twenty-Four Player Cards

A count of 24 cards covers most holiday parties without anyone doubling up, and it also splits neatly into two smaller games running at opposite ends of a long table. Each card carries a different arrangement, so a caller working through the 25 calling cards is not going to hand three people a win on the same square. Younger players can share a card with an adult who reads the pictures aloud.

Pictures Instead of Numbers

The squares show Santas, ornaments, reindeer and snowflakes rather than numbers, which lowers the age at which a child can play without help. A four-year-old matches a picture; an adult at the same table is still watching four cards at once.
