Characters Children Point At
Penguins, reindeer and gingerbread men do a different job from tinsel. A table of nine characters gives children at a family gathering or a school party something to work through, and the mailbox and the cottages fill in the scenery around them. Colors stay with the classic red, green and white, so the set drops into decorating that is already up.
Dessert and Gift Stations
Nine pieces cover more than one surface. The dining table takes three or four down the middle, the dessert table takes a couple at the front, and the rest go on the gift station or the shelf by the door. Office parties and winter gatherings use them the same way, with a piece wherever a surface has been left looking empty.
Fade Resistant Printing
Sturdy double-sided cardstock carries the artwork and durable honeycomb paper opens out behind it. The printing is detailed and holds its color rather than dulling, which shows on characters that depend on fine lines: a reindeer's face, the icing piped on a gingerbread man. Printed faces on both sides mean nothing looks unfinished from the far end of a table.
Unfold, Stick, Done
Each decoration unfolds, the adhesive backing comes away, and the sides attach to one another. Scissors, tape and extra supplies are not part of it, and the set is standing within minutes. That makes these usable late in the day: a table can be decorated after the cooking is finished and before the first guests knock, with no planning at all.
