Sleeve Over a Pole
The top of the flag is sewn into a sleeve, which is how it meets most garden stands, brackets and holders. Setting it out means lifting the flag over the crossbar and letting it hang straight. Nothing gets clipped or tied on, so one stand can carry this flag through December and something else once the holiday decorations come down.
Red and Green Trees
Three trees and the MERRY CHRISTMAS line make up the whole design, drawn in a plain farmhouse style rather than a cartoon one. Red and green keep it readable from the sidewalk, where a passerby has about a second to take it in. The artwork suits a porch that already has a wreath and garland, without adding another style to the mix.
Printed on Both Sides
High definition printing goes on both faces, which decides whether a flag works on a walkway people pass in two directions. Neighbors coming from either end read the same greeting. Guests parking at the curb see the front, and the side facing the house is not a blank panel. Lettering stays legible at an angle, not only straight on.
Washable Through the Season
The polyester takes a machine wash, which is what a flag standing outdoors for six weeks needs once it has taken rain and road spray. Stitched, reinforced edges keep wind from fraying the outer hem. Color resists fading in sun, so the flag can be packed away in January and set out again the following December rather than replaced.
